Sara Benjamin Neelon, PhD, MPH, RD, Principal Investigator

Sara Benjamin Neelon, PhD, MPH, RD is a child nutritionist and Associate  Professor in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Previously, she worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the Duke University Medical Center and the Duke Global Health Institute.  She completed a PhD and MPH at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. She is an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Diet and Activity Research at the University of Cambridge. Dr. Benjamin Neelon’s research focuses on policy and environmental approaches to obesity prevention in young children.

Shayna oversees the regulatory aspects of the study and leads the Nurture team.
